




On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at the meeting room of Wat Klang Municipal School, Mr. Theerasak Teekayuphan, Mayor of Khon Kaen City Municipality, assigned Mr. Warin Ekburin, a member of the Khon Kaen Municipal Council, to preside over the opening of the training program for teachers in municipal schools under the "Teacher-Doctor-Parent" Project, Group 3. The event was attended by: - Mr. Boontham Boranmool, Director of Wat Klang Municipal School - Mr. Prasit Somsak, Director of Ban Sam Liam Municipal School - Deputy school administrators from Khon Kaen City Municipality - Educational supervisors from Khon Kaen City Municipality - 215 teachers from: 1. Wat Klang Municipal School 2. Ban Sam Liam Municipal School The training was supported by speakers from the Northeastern Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute, including: - Dr. Panisa Phanubon and Ms. Sansanee Chailangka from Khon Kaen Hospital - Ms. Panisara Nantawong, academic officer from the Northeastern Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute - Ms. Jantira Chainwong, from the Strategy and Budget Division, developer of the Application Care program Background of the Project The "Teacher-Doctor-Parent" Project has been running since May 2015, as a collaboration between: - Khon Kaen City Municipality’s Education Office - Northeastern Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute - Khon Kaen Hospital & Srinagarind Hospital - Parent networks from 11 municipal schools - Horizon Classroom Foundation The project developed Application Care, a system designed to screen and support students with learning difficulties in Khon Kaen municipal schools. How the System Works - Screening via Application – Teachers conduct initial student assessments, receiving immediate results. - Referral System – At-risk students are referred to medical specialists. - Accessible Mental Health Services – Parents and teachers can access professional guidance without hospital visits. - On-Site Consultations – Specialists visit schools for further evaluations and behavioral guidance. Significance of Application Care - Developed and copyrighted by Khon Kaen City Municipality. - Regular system updates in collaboration with all 11 municipal schools. - Immediate screening results allow early intervention. - Strengthens collaboration between teachers, parents, and medical professionals. This project serves as a model for integrating education and healthcare, ensuring that students with learning difficulties receive timely support. It also has the potential to be expanded to other regions.
