On August 29-30, 2020, the Northeast Child and Adolescent Mental Health Institute, Khon Kaen Hospital, and the Education Office of Khon Kaen City Municipality collaborated to organize a project to develop a care system for children with learning problems by teachers, doctors, and parents of schools under the jurisdiction of Khon Kaen City Municipality. The project was honored by Mr. Thirasak Teemayuphan, Mayor of Khon Kaen City Municipality, and Mr. Manop Chongtaku, Director of the Education Office of Khon Kaen City Municipality, as the chairman of the opening ceremony of the project. The aim is to develop a care system for children with learning problems, covering the care, referral, and return of children and adolescents between schools and hospitals. In addition, teachers and parents have knowledge and understanding of learning problems and mental health problems in children and adolescents, so that teachers can screen and provide initial assistance to children with learning problems effectively. This is so that children with learning problems receive services to promote life skills, prevent, treat, and rehabilitate mental health problems comprehensively and effectively, and create a screening system and referral of school-aged children with learning problems in schools in Khon Kaen City Municipality, creating a network of teachers and parents. Working together strongly reduces social problems caused by learning problems in children and adolescents.
